Recommended care plans are based on each individual’s needs and our experience with similar conditions. The decision is always up to you! We have some patients who see us as needed for pain and others who take full advantage of long term wellness/maintenance care.

X-rays are determined on a case by case basis but to see is to know and we prefer to be as specific in your care as possible. X-rays, if needed, are done in-office on your first visit. And of course we make exceptions with, for example, pregnant women and young children/babies.

“As a twig is bent, so grows the tree”. While children or babies may not complain of back or neck pain, they have many reasons for needing alignment to their spine: Traumatic birth, learning to walk, sleeping in funny positions, falling from bikes, playing sports, studying, playing electronics, texting, etc. Many patients report that chiropractic care has been helpful for colic, ear infections, erratic sleeping habits, bedwetting, scoliosis, “growing pains” and many other common childhood health complaints. The concern many might have is the force used for a child’s adjustment. We do not adjust children the same way we adjust adults. Adjusting techniques are modified based on the child’s size. Infant adjustments use no more pressure than if you were checking a tomato for ripeness.

The simplest answer is YES! Through every stage of the pregnancy! Chiropractic evaluation and treatment during pregnancy is considered a safe and effective means of treating common musculoskeletal symptoms that affect pregnant patients. We have pillows and adjustable tables to make it comfortable to be adjusted at every stage.
